Drink Coasters.....

So, first.. this was on the fly video as you can see i'm in my PJ's and in my living room. :-)

Items you need:
Cement
Mold
Water - I use old water from water bottle that I didn't finish drinking.
Paint
Tape or anything else you may want to put on it.

Ideas for decoration - Gold leaf, Silver leaf, gold pen, picture, yarn, and so much more.

Steps:

  1. You want to get your cement all mixed up. That's right, mix it up baby! You want it to look like pancake mix. There really isn't any measuring but you will know when you get it right. I got the quick dry cement from Darby Smart.
  2. Pour it into the mold. The mold that I am using came from Bold Molds.
  3. Once you finish pouring, make sure to tap the side of mold. This helps with making sure you don't get those ugly bubbles.
  4. Let it sit for like 20 mins.
  5. If you want to check on it, touch the top of it and make sure that it doesn't feel wet still. If it is a little soft, let it sit for another 10 mins.
  6. After its dry, just pop that bad boy out. No, really... that is the best thing about Bold Molds, things just pop right out.
  7. Now, this is where things get fun. it's time for your imagination to run wild. To do anything that you can think of. Just remember after you finish, make sure to seal your piece.
If you don't have the time to purchase the item from Bold Molds, please email me and I can put an order together for you DIY project.

As always,
 Love, Peace, Craft!

I have posted the first item in our Etsy store . I am so excited! It is a ripple silver guestbook that I made. The best part of this guestbook is that it's so easy that anyone can make it.

While this one is simple you can really add anything that you want to it. Maybe a pretty ribbon with a paper or fake flower on the front. Don't you worry, I will make sure that it is one of the projects on the blog. If you can't wait and are just dying to know how to make one. Just email me and I can send you directions and all the materials that are needed.

I hope that everyone of you have an amazing and crafty day!

Welcome to Crystal DIY Design

Welcome to Crystal DIY Design!!

One of my passions in life has always been arts and crafts. I loved looking at pictures online and then trying to make them. Most of the time doing it successfully at that. So I came to the conclusion, why go out and buy it when I can make it and why not sell these art and craft projects for other enjoyment along with teaching them.  This is what this blog is all about. I will show you how to make different projects and I even sell you all the tools as well if you need it. If you like the finished product but don't want to make it don't worry I can custom make it.

This site will cover :

  • Events - Wedding, Birthday, Corporate, Engagement party, and so.. much more
To be honest, the best thing about this site is going to be the feeling you will get when you finish a project. Trust me, when I finished my first project I thought it was best thing in the world.  While it was only a painted bookshelf lol, it still was amazing to me.

I really do hope that you enjoy this site and have fun with the projects and viewing my designs. If you have any questions and want to know how something is made email me at crystaldiydesign@gmail.com.
